The Mission of the
Holy Spirit, formerly in
the care of the Missionaries of the Holy
Spirit is now part of the New Parish of
Misión Encarnación.
This Mission is ideally
located in the geographical center of the
Cañada on the main (paved) road. We have
plans of making this
a major pastoral center
due to its accessibility. The structure
itself
needs major repair. The roof is precariously
built
and only held up by the grace of God
(the best thing to do is to
replace it as soon as possible since we
are in an earthquake-prone
area). Being in a side hill without retai-
ning walls or drainage, the
Mission is in eminent danger; although
Tijuana has a very low
precipitation year round, flash floods can
trigger mud slides and are
causing major damage. There is no sa-
cred art withing this
building. |
