PRAYERS OF PETITION
We know the Father always calls us to a new and more abundant life. Together we cry out to Him: Hear us, O LORD. Help us to be open to you and to your divine ways, so not to be rejected because of our haughtiness. Hear us, O LORD. Test our hearts, Lord, to see if we have what it takes to be a true disciple, and then give us the strength to follow through with your demands. Hear us, O LORD. Lord, we beg you to come to the aid of our soldiers in harm's way. May they know of your loving divine care and feel your Presence at all times. Hear us, O Lord. We thank you, Lord, for the gift of faith that we have received from others. Help us to be equally giving in sharing the faith we have received. Hear us, O LORD. Humility and openness make us able to accept your gifts. Help us to have a simple spirit, open to you. Hear us, O LORD. Faith and confidence in the Lord’s goodness is what is needed to confront life’s difficulties. Help us to trust in you. Hear us, O LORD. Lord, we need vocations for service of the Church and for the salvation of souls. Give us the strength to foster good vocations. Hear us, O LORD. In our differences lie our strengths. Help us to appreciate the differences in others, and discern how to use them effectively for the Kingdom. Hear us, O LORD. Pride is really rejecting the truth about ourselves and about you. Help us to throw away earthly pride and to follow you more faithfully. Hear us, O LORD. Add you own petitions OUR PRAYER: God, thank you for hearing our prayers and thank you for the gifts of life, your law, and mostly, thank you for the gift of your Son, Jesus our LORD. AMEN. PRAYERS OF PETITION
Together let us offer our prayers to our heavenly Father, asking Him to grant us what we really need: Help us, O Lord. Indifference and detachment from spiritual things, ingratitude and hatred are the devil’s work. Cleanse our hearts of all these things. Help us... Concern for our troops overwhelms our nation. Keep them safe Lord, help them accomplish their mission. Inspire men and women to seek peace and help us defeat those who would keep us from peace. Help us... We have intrinsic worth and value because God wants it that way. Help us to value others with the same loving eyes with which you see them. Help us... If we are rich soil, prepared well, we can receive the Lord. Send forth your Spirit upon us, so that we might have the strength to confront the world’s distractions. Help us... God wants to save all of us. Help us to not reject your call to conversion, Lord. Help us... Humility and love is sacrificial giving and gratitude. Help us to attend to the needs of our neighbor and not fall into sins of omission. Help us... Through sacrifice and a firm resolution, make us worthy, Lord, to serve you and to receive your infinite blessings. Help us... Sin kills the soul and guilt kills the conscience. Help us to confess our sins and to change our lives. Help us... You commanded us to guard the sabbath day and make it holy. Help us to dedicate that day, and indeed every day, to you. Help us... Add your own petitions OUR PRAYER: Thank you for bending your ear to hear our petitions. We know you care for us, your creatures, and in you we place all our hopes. Thank you for who you are and for everything you give us. AMEN.
PRAYERS OF PETITION
Together, as one family in our chain of prayer, let us
call out to the Lord and ask His help and protection: Come to
our aid, Lord. Help us to be humble, Lord, and to seek only
to do your holy will. Come to our aid, Lord. Help us to turn away from evil and the power
of the devil, and to put our trust only in you. Come to our aid, Lord. Our young men and women fight each day in
Afghanistan and Iraq. Help them make good and holy desciones
that will bring peace and save lives. Encourage them by your
loving Presence. Come to our aid, Lord. Help us to not be confused by the many voices
claiming Your Name in the world today. Help us to see you in the
teachings and beauty of your Holy Catholic Church. Come to
our aid, Lord. Who are we that you should care?! Yet you do,
by your becoming a man, you raised us up to share the dignity of
being children of God. Help us live out our dignity. Come to
our aid, Lord. Help us to work for the real food that gives
life; help us to work harder to assist at Holy Mass and receive
the sacraments with our soul clean of sin. Come to our aid,
Lord. Mary Magdalene’s life teaches us about
conversion and humility. Help us to imitate her in her imitation
of Jesus. Come to our aid, Lord. Indifference to the Word of God stifles the
growth of the Spirit. Help us to be excited about the Word in
our lives, and to share it with others. Come to our aid,
Lord. Add your own petitions OUR PRAYER: Father, thank you for hearing
us. We know you always hear us. Grant us our needs, as you see
them. We ask you this through Christ, our Lord. AMEN.
PRAYERS OF PETITION
As one family together, we present our needs to our heavenly Father, seeking His divine will. Lord, come to our aid. We know that God calls all people to conversion. Help us, Lord, turn from sinful ways and from ways that take us away from your love. Lord... Inspire our soldiers to do only the good and build up for the kingdom those they serve in far off lands. Lord... Lord, help us to see that there is no greater gain that we can have in life but to gain you and your divine love. Help us to recognize the love that you are showering us with at all times. Lord... The devil tries to put every stumbling block in our way to sanctity and holiness. Help us, Lord, to go against his temptations and to rise above him, strengthened by the Holy Spirit. Lord... The only important goal in our life must be Jesus Christ. Help us to seek nothing more than to do His holy will and to be faithful to our Lord and Master. Lord... The Lord Jesus is Lord over everything, including death. Help us, Lord, to put in the first place, faith in your Word and in your designs, knowing that your wisdom is divine. Lord... Science and psychology are good and great gifts — if they are in accord with your holy will. Help all of us, professionals and lay people, to esteem your design for the world. Lord... Add your own petitions OUR PRAYER: We thank you! We praise you! Thank you for hearing our prayers through Christ, our Lord. AMEN. + + + SELF-OFFERING with Mary. Holy Mary, Immaculate Virgin, Mother of God, I choose you for my Mother and advocate. Let me not depart from you today, but help me to do my duty for the sake of your DIVINE SON. Let me be your devoted servant; assist me in all my actions, and forsake me not at the hour of my death. AMEN. |
